A complete GeM seller registration with catalog listing and MSE benefits activated typically takes 7–14 working days when documents are in order. Basic account creation is same-day, but catalog vetting, OEM verification and MSE benefit activation each add 2–5 working days.
Timeline breakdown
Day 0 (same day): Signup, PAN/Aadhaar verification, business profile creation.
Day 1–3: GSTIN and Udyam cross-verification with source portals. Any name-spelling mismatch pauses the clock.
Day 3–7: OEM/Reseller vetting. Resellers wait on OEM Authorisation Letter validation.
Day 5–10: First catalog uploads pass through GeM's technical review — 3–7 working days per SKU family.
Day 7–14: MSE benefits fully active on your seller profile.
What slows it down
PAN/Udyam/GST name mismatches (the #1 cause of delay), missing bank current account, incomplete OEM Authorisation Letters, unclear product images, and wrong HSN codes on catalog items.
